Here’s a Necklace that you don’t see often, if ever. The “Talus” itself, as well as part of the ‘chain’ are all composed of red garnets. Those on the ‘chain’ are faceted and those on the Talus are all cabochons bezel mounted and strung together in silver.
The cabochons and faceted gemstones blend well with the silver bali’s and hand crafted 16 gage chain. The Bell Bali is also on the earrings to bring the pieces together as a unique set of jewelry. Few of these necklaces were ever made, and there probably will not be any more as the work is just to time consuming. Someone has to be willing to work for 100.00 a week to build it (plus cost of goods). So the price we have this marked for is very, very low and the work is worth considerably more. Garnet Talus Necklace Set
The garnet cabochons are all 7x5mm dome shaped and ‘band wrapped’ in silver. Each banded cabochon is eye attached to a silver center curb chain which remains mostly hidden inside the Talus.
When cleaning & polishing this inside chain, take care not to knock out the garnets from the bands. These stones are not Claw mounted and the silver bands are very small. The bands are made to hold the cabochon and are bent around the cabochon’s girdle & then C cupped top & bottom. But blunt force trauma could loosen the bands. Just be careful cleaning it and you will not have any problems.
